How to buy Fairphones in USA without Murena

A couple weeks ago, Gael Duval blogged (archive) about how to buy Fairphone 6 in USA from his Murena company. Don't be misled by PR.

Here is the better way, which also reduces your total cost by about $150, to $750, from Murena's $900 (or $899). This is an independent recommendation from a happy customer who receives no benefit for making this recommendation.

Get an account at Forward2me, a parcel forwarding company. You'll have to tolerate some Javascript.
Order your Fairphone 6 direct from Fairphone, for 599 Euro or about $700 as of this writing. Use a delivery address at Forward2me in Germany. They will forward it to you at your address in USA. Note: If you really want slashy slash OS (/e/OS) installed (not recommended), optionally pay Fairphone 50 more Euro for it. Note 2: Fairphone 5 are also available, for lower base price. You'll have to tolerate some more Javascript.
Estimated Fedex shipping from Germany to USA is about 42 Euro, or $50, for a total spend of about $750, with standard Android.
After receiving your shiny, new Fairphone, use it with Android 15, or install a better OS like CalyxOS when available, hopefully real soon.
