GrapheneOS Brigading Will Continue Until Morale Improves?

Just one more example of how GrapheneOS fans and representatives go around to other forums ganging up on non-believers and spreading their GrapheneOS "truth": From time to time I glance at GrapheneOS discussion forum. I could almost swear I saw a post and responses there calling attention to a post and responses at F-Droid forums. As I write this, I can't find the post at GrapheneOS forums. This is no surprise because GrapheneOS leaders routinely delete posts and responses. F-Droid does too, but in this case the F-Droid thread remains for your education and boredom or entertainment. As routinely happens, F-Droid staffer Licaon Kter eventually locked the discussion with a special brand of attempted humor, after stating a special opinion or two.

A side issue is how F-Droid forum moderators handle or control presentations of differences of opinion.

I didn't carefully read the entire thread, but here are some comments:

• On April 3, 2024, the original post by aotektrue (archive.org), a long-time F-Droid forum participant, asks for advice on using the F-Droid app with GrapheneOS. Subsequently, aotektrue says they are having problems with apps freezing more often on GrapheneOS than on "previous Android".
• The title of the original post was changed a few times, from "Graphene OS Questions, comments, concerns, outright ridicule?" to "Graphene OS Questions" to "Graphene OS Questions, comments, concerns, etc".
• Licaon Kter, F-Droid staffer and moderator, and DivestOS user and defender, tries to divert the discussion to other places. Aotektrue expresses concerns about getting in trouble for “violating” forum rules or something". (Everyone knows GrapheneOS moderators reputation.)
• Pharott, a new F-Droid forum account, defends GrapheneOS, and blames the issues on apps or GrapheneOS "exploit protections", which can be changed app by app.
• Oclair, a new F-Droid forum account, joins only to write: "Grapheneos? Love it!" Does not answer follow-up questions or address the original post.
• 13 days later, optimumpro, an F-Droid account since 2019, wrote: "My main suggestion is: stay away from GrapheneOS. Aside from the dev team being sociopaths and bullies, they have very little credibility." F-Droid moderator vdbhb59 deleted "Aside from the dev team being sociopaths and bullies, they have very little credibility." and changed "Nothing could be further from the truth and I can prove it conclusively with references" to "Some references". "MOD EDIT: These are personal opinions. Also post edited to clear off the heat." was added, as if this justifies the changes. Note: You will need to go to the F-Droid forum and view post edits if you wish to verify these changes.
• There is a difference of opinion between optimumpro, a developer of JaguarOS ROM Operating System for OnePlus phones, and GrapheneOS brigaders. optimumpro says, in essence, GrapheneOS is not as secure as they claim.
• mboxbananasysnergy, a new F-Droid forum account and apparently a shortened nick for matchboxbananasynergy, a GrapheneOS "community manager" (archive.org) writes surprisingly like they have much more in depth knowledge of GrapheneOS coding than they used to. This supports the suspicion that accounts are shared by more than one person, or are sock puppet accounts of a developer. Sock puppet accounts are a standard tactic for "astroturfers" who want to create illusions of more support for their products or opinions.
• Licaon Kter, F-Droid staffer, accurately wrote, "I remember our past interactions elsewhere when you kept saying “I’m only a user”
• Tryptamine, another new F-Droid forum account supports GrapheneOS.
• lucasmz-dev, another new F-Droid forum account, supports GrapheneOS.
• vdbhb59, F-Droid forum moderator temporarily closes the discussion for a day or so. Asks for discussion to focus on F-Droid, not on GrapheneOS. Ironically, there is a 1k+ thread all about DivestOS.
• Licaon Kter, F-Droid staffer, eventually puts the thread out of its misery and closes it with attempted humor (cartoon).
